The great thing about this tour is that you´ll see everything that’s on the South Coast tour but then go much further. We pick you up in Reykjavík and head out to see Seljalandsfoss waterfall with a short stop in Hvolsvöllur for a bathroom/snack break. Seljalandsfoss is very special because you can walk behind it (rain coats recommended). After that, we´ll go see another waterfall; Skógafoss. It’s a magnificent waterfall and you can walk up a path to see it from above. We´ll drive to the black sand beach, Reynisfjara where you can see the Reynisdrangar rock formations you will also see Dyrhólaey. And take lunch at the Restaurant at the Black beach. After lunch, we´ll go to Skaftafell aria. Then finally, we go to see the magnificent Jökulsárlón, glacier lagoon, And the Dimond Beach! You´ll have plenty of time to explore the area and go on the boat ride (summer only), and after that, we’ll head back to Reykjavík with a Dinner stop on the way. In the winter time, we’ll stop if we see the northern lights! On the drive home, you’ll be glad that our buses have free wifi so you can post pictures and videos from the tour. Of course, this is a guided tour so you´ll have the luxury of a knowledgeable guide that will tell you everything about the sites and interesting things along the way. Please note that for this trip we require a minimum number of 6 adult participants in order to operate. We have to reserve the right to alter, delay or cancel (hopefully not) any tour due to weather or any other unsafe conditions for your safety. OUR REVIEWS FOR THE TOUR
Absolutely amazing tour!! This tour met all of my expectations, and it was the highlight of my vacation. The views were stunning, Iceland is such a beautiful country! You’re picked up and dropped off right at your hotel which is super convenient. Our tour guide Guðjón, was super friendly and taught us so much about sites that were part of the tour, as well as sites and scenery we passed by. If you are looking for a tour, let this be it! Being a small tour group was perfect too, and we had a very comfortable wi-fi equipped bus.
This tour was the best of our trip! 14 hours sounds long, but we stopped every 30-45 minutes and saw a lot, so it didn’t feel like a long day. Gudjon was extremely knowledgeable and shared many interesting facts while he drove. He also stopped so we could pet horses, which was one of our favourite things. We did not see one of the waterfalls but did add an extra stop for another glacier. All of the sights were incredibly beautiful. I would highly recommend a waterproof jacket and packing snacks.
