No refunds are available once a tour or service has commenced, or in respect of any package, accommodation, meals or any other services utilised.

Cancelling a booking with Yes Travel can result in cancellation fees being applied by Hopferdir, as outlined below. Additional fees may be levied by Yes Travel.

When cancelling any booking, you will be notified via email or telephone of the total cancellation fees if there are any fees.

• If you cancel at least 7 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee.
• If you cancel between 3 and 6 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee
• If you cancel within 2 day(s) of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.

BOOKING AND PAYMENT

After booking, you will receive a booking confirmation and a voucher. If you choose to pay in the booking process, you will also receive a receipt for a payment sent according to the contact information given by you in the booking.

The prices quoted are based on the current purchasing price in Iceland. Prices are in ISK (Icelandic Kronur). Prices are guaranteed after full payment has been made. Our prices include VAT and taxes.

INSURANCE

We strongly advise all our clients to have travel insurance against costs and losses, including compensation for medical costs and cancellation fees.

SAFETY RULES & RESPONSIBILITY OF PARTICIPANTS

People under the influence of alcohol or intoxicating drugs are not permitted on the tours.

All participants must participate in the tour by their own free will and are aware that each trip can involve some risk and danger.

It is the responsibility of each person to assess whether he is physically able to take part in the trip. Each participant is obliged to inform the tour guide of any condition that might affect their ability to participate in the tour.

The staff at Hópferdir / Yes Travel reserve the right to advise the participant(s) against joining the tour if they believe it may be dangerous to their health or the health of those around them.

In order to ensure the security of each participant, every person agrees to follow the safety rules provided by the staff of Hópferðir / Yes Travel. In the case of failure in that respect by the participant and/or he gives the staff wrong information, that will entail loss of rights to make claim against Hópferðir / Yes Travel. Each participant shall bear all responsibility for damage caused by him due to his carelessness or failure to follow set/given/published instructions by Hópferðir / Yes Travel and its staff.

All luggage and personal equipment are, at all times, at your own risk. We will not be responsible whatsoever for any loss, damage to your luggage and/or personal equipment.

COMPLAINTS

All complaints must reach Hópferðir / Yes Travel within one week from departure from Iceland. Otherwise, possible compensation is not valid.

Note: Hópferðir / Yes Travel reserve the right to alter tours and itineraries due to weather or road conditions. All programs can be changed or cancelled at any moment during the trip to assure the safety of the clients and staff of Hópferðir / Yes Travel.

No responsibility is accepted for losses, expenses due to delays, changes of flights, or other services or because of strikes, accidents, sickness, damage, negligence, weather, war, changes in schedules, or other similar causes. Hópferðir / Yes Travel and other partners do not assume responsibility for accidents or death that can be traced to the participant’s negligence, acts of third parties or exterior circumstances such as weather, natural occurrences, war or other similar causes.

CHOICE OF LAW AND JURISDICTION

The interpretation and application of the purchase shall be in accordance with Icelandic law. Both parties hereby agree that the only jurisdiction and venue for any dispute with Hópferðir / Yes Travel or in any way relating to the use of this website, www.hopferdir.is, or to products purchased from Hópferðir / Yes Travel is before the district court in Reykjavík, Iceland. 

PRIVACY STATEMENTS AND PERSONAL DATA

The collection and processing of personal data collected are for purposes of credit card verification, issuing of booking confirmations and tickets and direct marketing through Hópferðir / Yes Travel. Hópferðir / Yes Travel do not give any of your Personal data to third parties.
